Watchman Oil Tank Alarm and Oil Level Monitor
The Watchman Oil Tank Security system is a sensor device designed to protect your oil from theft and monitor your oil level. It is suitable to fit on any oil tank (plastic or steel).
It will accurately measure the oil level on any tank (up to 3 meters in height) and signal an alarm if the oil level is dropping at an uncommon rate (1.5cm per minute)
Easy to install the alarm transmitter and receiver have a 200 meter range capacity so it will work accurately even if your oil tank is not right beside your home.
How the Watchman Oil Alarm Works?
The alarm on tank checks the oil level every minute and transmits this information to the receiver in your home about once every 3o minutes. If the oil level is dropping at a fast rate the receiver sends a signal to the transmitter and an alarm signals.
When the alarm signals the receiver unit emits a siren type sound and a red LED will also flash on the receiver. To reset simply plug out and plug back in.
If the device is not installed correctly a triangle symbol will appear on the centre of the screen of the receiver unit with a line to the right of it. This might also appear if the transmitter has been moved or removed from the tank.

Bought a ‘Watchman Oil Tank Security Device’ from Purchase.ie over a year ago. It does exactly what it should – monitors the oil level so you don’t run out, airlock the system and need a plumber. It warns as the tank comes close to empty. Also alarms audibly if the oil level in your tank drops too fast – like when someone is stealing it. Hasn’t happened yet, thank god. Cheaper than other websites and the shops I looked in, including delivery. Good service, would use again.
