Intumescent Strip with brush Fire Door Sealant Strip
Part of the new Exi Fire range from Exitex this self adhesive surface mounted sealant expands when subject to heat making it a flame tight seal for 30 minutes and potentially saving lives. (tested to BS 476: Part 22 and complies with fire safety legislation)
Each pack strip is 5.2 meters in length and suitable for gaps of 3-5mm. It is available in four colours white, brown, grey and woodgrain.
Packs include an alcohol wipe for applying to surface before installing and 2 fire door stickers.
Strip is easy to install and requires no routing of door or frame.
Fire Door Safety Strip Fitting Instructions
Clean area where strip will be installed with the supplied alcohol wipe supplied to ensure they are free from grease, dirt and dust.
Peel off backing tap and place with brush against door stop.
Apply to both sides over hinges and latch plate.
With a sharp knife cut around the latch plate allowing the door to engage.
Apply to top of door frame cutting in corners ensuring a tight fit.
For best results allow the adhesive to cure overnight.
Apply fire door stickers enclosed.
