This 40 LED Solar Floodlight from Astron is powerful enough to provide you with 12 hours of light per night.

Whilst other solar security lights only turn on when they detect motion this high end light from Astron will stay on constantly and can be operated by an included remote control.

The kit also includes a 5m cable to allow you to position the solar panel in the best position to gather power from the daylight whilst the floodlight itself can be positioned in the shade if required.

How to Use the Astron Solar Floodlight

During the daytime the 10 watt solar panel on the Astron charges its internal 12V 3Ah MiMH battery pack allowing it all the power it needs to light up after dark you then have the option of Automatic Mode or Manual Mode.

Automatic Mode: The Astron will come on automatically for 6 hours after dark and automatically turn itself off.

Manual Mode: The Astron can be controlled with the included remote control which has a range of up to 50 metres. The remote allows you to turn on and off the Solar Floodlight whenever you wish. You can also use the remote to switch over to automatic mode.

Charging your Astron Solar Floodlight

In late Spring, Summer and early Autumn the Astron will fully charge on most days providing it with enough charge to remain fully lighted for 12 hours. In the inter the Astron will charge up enough to light for 6 hours unless the weather is extremely poor.

Installing your Astron Solar Floodlight

Firstly find the best location for your solar panel within 5 metres of where you plan to have the floodlight positioned. This location needs to be as south facing as possible and free from obstructions such as buildings and trees and the shadows they create.

When position is decided

1: Connect the u-shaped solar panel mounts to the solar panel

2: Position solar panel in desired location and mark holes in u-mounts

3: Drill holes, apply screw plugs and screw panel into place

4: Remove bracket from light and place in the desired location

5: Mark holes in bracket, drill holes and insert screw plugs

6: Screw bracket into place and reconnect light to it

7: Connect solar panel cable to light and turn on
